My daughter and I booked onto a beginners photography course with Paul today and we are so pleased we did. Paul was informative, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. He knew exactly how to set up our cameras properly and supplied us with plenty of knowledge to put into practice on our own. He knew about the birds and the location and provided additional information about future locations to visit. We truly enjoyed our day, the photos and will definitely be booking another course with Paul soon. I took a workshop with Paul at Argaty Red Kites and I found it really worthwhile in helping develop my photography skills. Paul was friendly and engaging and gave me some really helpful tips to help me get some of the best wildlife shots I've taken. Paul is a great teacher with a wealth of knowledge and he was great at understanding where I am at in terms of photography and the assistance I needed to learn. It was an absolute privilege to be one of the first participants at Pauls inaugural "Ultimate Beginners Guide to Wildlife Photography" at Five Sister Zoo. Paul explained so much about the day ahead, camera settings we would be using on the day and helped set up my camera (I'm really bad for just leaving it on Auto Mode) During the day Paul was always encouraging and commenting on photos taken, helping adjust camera settiings again if needed. Amazing workshop today . I'm a complete beginner and was rather anxious to attend with no real knowledge. Paul was very patient, explained techniques in a simple way , resulting in me being able to take some lovely photos I never thought I would be able to achieve! He was encouraging and complimentary about my achievements. Paul's workshop was informative and well structured, I learned a lot! He paid attention to each of us and gave individual feedback which really helped my progress. Over the 4 hours we covered all the basics and managed to put all theories into practice creating lovely images. The birds were stars, constantly posing, not skittish at all, so we had loads of opportunities to capture their behaviour and shoot some portraits as well.
